    Position summary

    love to build connections with artists and their music. The team is working globally and locally with artists, managers and labels to unleash the promotional and marketing power of TikTok, helping talents to secure success on the platform, music streamings, hit charts and brand collaborations.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and improve the TikTok music content strategy according to user consumption, especially a better combination between editorial programming and algo-based recommendation.
    • Manage all music-related editorial placements on TikTok. Responsible for data performance of editorial placements.
    • Build and maintain a detailed, and localised, music programming / promotion calendar for Japan market.
    • Ideate and execute music related programs and work cross-functionally with Partnership teams to achieve various goals of programs.
    • Provide advice from a local perspective for music initiatives with both editorial sense and data analysis.
    • Leverage data analysis to discover potential viral tracks and viral music trends on the platform.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of Japan music programming experience at DSPs.
    • Close to native level of Japanese speaker. Business level English.
    • Deep understanding of music genres, trends and TikTok content ecosystem.
    • Ability to present strategies with data evidence.
    • Good communication skills and project management skills
    • Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally
    • Well organized, dedicated, with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines and pay outstanding attention to detail.
