• Review and approve user survey instruments, ensuring clarity, objectivity, and compliance with applicable legal and ethical guidelines.
• Develop and maintain internal policies and guidelines related to user surveys, data collection, and feedback analysis.
• Develop and deliver trainings to internal teams on the legal and ethical considerations related to user surveys.
• Help build and iterate on a robust AI governance framework to comply with enacted laws and harmonize TikTok's practices with industry best practices, standards, and global governance models.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• J.D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school (or foreign equivalent) with membership in good standing in a US state bar.
• Significant in-house or law firm experience advising on data privacy, data protection, and the legal and regulatory aspects of research and/or product development.
• Enjoys being challenged, is adaptable, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Ability to make risk-based decisions and develop innovative and business-focused solutions to emerging challenges. - Enthusiasm for designing new workflows and processes and performing ongoing optimization.
• Flexibility to work with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders in time zones other than where the position is based.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of global privacy and data security laws, including those outside of the United States.
• Experience advising on data collection issues specifically related to Big Tech.
• Experience with policy development.
• Experience with understanding innovative technology and the technology product development process.
