    The centralized Testing team for TikTok provides support for multiple service component value chains. In this role, team members have the opportunity to validate, automate, develop and manage the complex challenges of scale with your expertise in large-scale systems.

    The TikTok Engineering Test team focuses on testing and delivering innovative and high quality core product features of the app. Our goal is to facilitate the successful release of TikTok features and enhancements from development to production through effective testing delivering continuous quality at speed.

    Responbilities

    1. Own the entire system testing process, including but not limited to: analysis, design, executing test plans and cases, and conducting defect tracking.
    2. Work closely with developers, product and program managers to test and validate new features and define the testing protocol.
    3. Analyze the root cause of defects and help with investigation and solution.
    4. Implement test tools and collaborate with automation/performance test teams to build up internal tools/frameworks/platforms to make the team more productive.
    5. Provide cross functional test support for other team members.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualification

    1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
    2. Familiar with Java/Python/Objective-C/Golang, experience in related project development
    3. Strong knowledge of software design, operating systems and networking
    4. Problem solving with algorithms and data structures
    5. Basic knowledge of testing methodology and tools

    Preferred Qualification

    1. Experience testing mobile apps on Android and iOS platforms
    2. Familiar with Redis, NSQ, Zero-MQ, Kafka, Docker, K8s, Hive, Spark
    3. Experience programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and promoting best practices in quality areas
    4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with development engineering and other functions
    5. Superior analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems

    Job Information

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $98400 - $142800 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
