    About the Team:
    Intelligent Creation(IC) QA US team is Quality and Automation team based in Mountain View and Seattle. We work with Intelligent Creation US team on a daily basis to guarantee the quality and efficiency of the entire workflow from Algorithm Development to Production Deployment, across domains from Computer Vision, SAML, AR Effects, to Client/Server Architecture, Audio/Video Creation. Our team is involved in Quality Strategy and Process, Automation Infrastructure and Framework, CI/CD, Engineering Excellence. The team is currently structured into three domains: Effects, A/V Creation, and Creative Tools.

    Intelligent Creation(IC) is a research institute and product platform of AI, Effects, Audio & Video technologies. Fields of research include: Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Audio and Video Technologies, SAMI, Effects, Creative Tools, AR, Avatars, and so on.

    Responsibilities:
    We are looking for a Tech Lead Manager to drive the technical vision and strategy for quality and test efficiency across TikTok Intelligent Creation innovations. In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and apply innovative test solutions for applications like Video Creation, Creative Effects, AIGC, and Audio/Video services etc. You will have the unique opportunity to learn cutting-edge technologies altogether.

    As a TLM in the team:

    • You will have a significant impact on the delivery and quality of our software, our business, and most importantly, our user experience;
    • Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of test solutions for critical and highly complex software, influence the test solutions for multiple complex and critical components that have direct impact on user experience.
    • Regularly review and refine quality engineering processes to keep pushing the boundary of efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools, and have the opportunity to invent new test approaches or propose improvements to our existing systems to improve the team's speed and efficiency.
    • Provide technical expertise in test infrastructure, automation framework, test strategy, and best testing practices.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers to improve their technical skills, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience;
    • 3 years of work experience in Quality Engineering as SDE-T, Quality Assurance Engineer, or Software Engineer in Test;
    • Demonstrable leadership experience in managing technical teams as Tech Lead or Manager;
    • Experience in quality engineering of large-scale mobile/web/desktop applications on common platforms;
    • Proficient in at least one of the common programming languages, including Python, Java, etc.;
    • Hands-on experience in test automation development using a common automation framework;
    • Proficient in problem-solving, troubleshooting, quality process, and methodologies;

    Preferred Qualification

    • Experience in testing large-scale and critical service/applications involving Audio/Video Creation, AI applications, or AR/VR technologies;
    • Knowledge of modern web/mobile application architecture and common cloud platforms;
    • people management experience in a diverse engineering team;
    • Excellent verbal/written communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams;
    • Experience in collaboration with offshore teams;
    • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment follows Agile methodologies;

    Job Information

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $200000 - $280000 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
