- Integrate and optimize transportation capacity resources, including third-party carriers and crowdsourced driver pools. Establish carrier evaluation and dynamic allocation mechanisms to balance transportation cost and service quality, driving per-package transportation costs at least XX% below industry benchmarks.
- Establish end-to-end in-transit monitoring and exception management mechanisms. Operate a 24/7 control tower to track shipment status, vehicle location, and driver execution in real time, and respond quickly to exceptions such as delays, breakdowns, and damages to reduce delivery disputes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and with external partners, working closely with distribution centers, overseas warehouses, 3PL providers, and partners such as USPS to improve handoff efficiency across sortation, loading, transportation, and inbound operations.
- Define standardized dispatch processes and compliance frameworks. Ensure strict adherence to DOT transportation regulations, OSHA safety standards, and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements, including driver logs, vehicle inspections, and cargo loading standards, to ensure compliant and risk-free dispatch operations.
- Drive data-based dispatch optimization and cost control by tracking key KPIs such as load utilization, empty miles, and cost per shipment. Regularly produce operational analysis reports and continuously improve efficiency through route consolidation, shipment pooling, and precise vehicle-type matching.
- Build a highly resilient emergency dispatch framework to address peak season surges, volume volatility, and extreme weather events. Develop contingency plans including backup capacity and dynamic routing to ensure business continuity, while also owning the hiring, training, and day-to-day management of the dispatch team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics Management, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of transportation dispatch or logistics operations experience, including at least 2 years in linehaul or distribution transportation dispatch management.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end transportation dispatch processes, with solid knowledge of e-commerce last-mile delivery service level requirements and cost structures.
- Proven data-driven and cost control capabilities, able to identify dispatch bottlenecks through data analysis, with demonstrated results in reducing transportation costs and improving on-time delivery performance.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and incident management skills, able to coordinate internal and external resources to resolve complex dispatch issues, thrive in peak-season, high-pressure environments, and make fast, effective decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in cross-border e-commerce last-mile delivery or North America-based domestic logistics operations.
- Familiarity with North America transportation networks, cross-border logistics flows, and major metropolitan delivery rules; experience in technology-driven logistics companies (e.g., SpeedX-type platforms) is a strong plus.
- Hands-on experience with TMS/WMS and intelligent dispatch tools; experience with API integrations and strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA regulations and US e-commerce platform inbound requirements.

[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $159120 - $316800 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
