    Position summary

    With the goal of helping merchants acquire traffic and improve operational performance, lead key strategic initiatives such as creator matching, merchant-generated content, and search, recommendation, and marketplace operations. Identify key operational metrics, build a high-quality best-practice case library, and drive broad adoption and education among US merchants.

    • Build localized training and curriculum systems, and drive methodology education and enablement for merchants, improving overall merchant satisfaction on TikTok Shop.
    • Drive the productization of merchant operation methodologies and solutions, including but not limited to data products, operational tools, and marketing tools, to improve merchant efficiency at scale.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in research-driven roles within content-driven e-commerce, including strategy research, central strategy teams, business analytics, or roles focused on scaling operating models through data and insights.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Strong research, analytical, and abstraction capabilities, with the ability to identify merchant operating patterns, uncover underlying drivers of performance, and synthesize insights into structured, scalable methodologies; deep understanding of the e-commerce value chain.
    • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and influence skills, with a strong sense of ownership and strategic perspective; ability to work closely with product, marketing, and industry operations teams to translate research insights into frameworks, tools, and scalable solutions.

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $106400 - $273600 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

    Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
