    commerce industry has seen tremendous growth in recent years and has become a hotly contested space amongst leading Internet companies, and its future growth cannot be underestimated. We aim to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making TikTok the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and partners. For years, TikTok has played a central role in the shopping journey for the Beauty category with #TikTokMadeMeBuyIt. Beauty is one of the most influential & fastest-growing categories at TikTok Shop, and we are looking for an ambitious and pragmatic Business Development Leader to step-change the pace of brand & seller acquisition to accelerate Category growth.

    About the Role
    The Seller Strategy & Benchmarking Program Manager will help the Beauty Category manage seller success at scale by analyzing seller performance, establishing benchmarks for what 'good' content commerce looks like, providing seller-facing scorecards, and developing insights & recommendations that drive Category growth. This role will partner closely with both Category Management teams and Data Science to develop sub-category level insights & benchmarks that will help the Category team better educate sellers across Enterprise, Mid-Market, and SMB to improve the right inputs to their business on TikTok Shop. Based on these insights, the Program Manager will also lead initiatives and cross-functional projects that help step-change the trajectory of the Category. You will work closely with a team of category managers, creator specialists, and cross-functional partners, including data science and strategy.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze overall category and sub-category performance, deep-dive key inputs that differentiate seller performance
    • Partner with Category leaders to set the right benchmarks for key inputs and outputs at a sub-category and category level
    • Develop a seller scorecard framework and leverage Data Science as well as self-service analytical tools to create and refine seller performance score cards, and produce high-quality, seller-facing collateral that can drive seller success
    • Partner with category managers to embed data-driven, strategic insights & recommendations into seller meetings, negotiations, and business development processes
    • Deep-dive seller performance, generate insights and make recommendations for initiatives that will improve seller & category performance

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 3+ years' experience with business analysis to make strategic recommendations
    • 2+ years' experience creating client- or merchant-facing presentations, pitch-decks, or papers
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Tableau, Domo, or equivalents
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
    • Support strategic projects to drive platform growth, including GMV, buyer CRM, seller program adoption rate and other key metrics with cross-functional partners such as marketing, seller management, and operations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in highly data-driven, external-facing roles such as Merchandise Planning in retail, Consulting, Investment Banking
    • Quick learner, proactive and resilient. Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adjust fast to change.
    • Structured and original thinking, good data sense, analytical skills and judgment capability.
    • Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration, skilled at moving things forward.

    Job Information

    [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

    The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $91200 - $143555 annually.

    Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
