Outbound Logistics and serves as the Transportation liaison among Inbound Logistics, Distribution Services, and Service Center Operations.
You will support TJX logistical strategies and deliver merchandise to our Service Centers, and stores in a cost-efficient manner while meeting or exceeding service standards. From ensuring on time delivery of goods to our Outbound destinations, to supporting logistics strategies to support our strong growth, you are critical in enabling the treasure hunt experience our customers love! You will be assigned a mix of core responsibilities in order to deliver exceptional supply chain operational performance, drive cost savings and enable process improvement to support our continued growth.
Responsibilities:
Consistently deliver on key performance indicators around service consistency, quality, capacity, and cost
Collaboratively drive the business, working with partners from across the company including Distribution Services, Consolidation, Finance, Loss Prevention, as well as our Third Party Logistics partners)
Manage carrier performance, recognizing and celebrating wins, and coaching and holding accountable when performance does not meet expectations
Supervise scheduling of over 400 deliveries weekly to 33 Outbound Destinations serviced by the facility in conjunction with Merchandising, Distribution Services and Store Operations plans. Notify partners of deviation to scheduled deliveries on a timely basis. Adjusts schedules to maximize truck utilization while maintaining flow to the Distribution Centers and Service Centers
Plan and communicate the truck capacity requirements and ensure an adequate supply of equipment
Ensure steady flow of inbound and outbound movements, resulting in the timely arrival of merchandise to stores and maximum utilization of lowest cost carriers
Implement all aspect of our Q4 strategy to ensure successful peak season and year-end inventory execution
Lead a team of logistics coordinators in executing daily tasks around scheduling, reporting and auditing detention and bobtails, and carrier communication.
Support the campus, consisting of Facilities in Lyndhurst, Secaucus, and South Brunswick, NJ
Minimal Required Skills:
A minimum of 2- 4 years' experience in Logistics or Supply Chain
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field OR related work experience
Experience leading and managing teams
Ability to work cross functionally to deliver results
Knowledge of motor carrier industry
Understanding of distribution center operations
Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed, sometimes traveling between multiple buildings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of transportation management systems and software

This position has a starting salary range of $61,000.00 to $82,100.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
