    Position summary

    ud environments. The UKG SRE & Observability teams have a global presence that leverages technology and right size process to deliver world class solutions. You will lead a global cloud team focused on establishing an SRE culture, aligning enterprise observability capabilities, evaluating cloud native technologies, and delivering core capabilities to help scale the business. The focus of the cloud organization is to enable the business to deliver value at a rapid pace by providing observable building blocks to ensure UKG has a consistent approach to delivery and security in a cloud environment. The focus of the UKG Cloud org is to ensure our product engineering teams have the tools and technologies to deliver a consistently great and secure customer experience. You'll need to have strong experience in Public Cloud Technologies and a lean approach to delivery.

    Responsibilities:

    -Lead the SRE & Observability teams and execute on the vision of providing an enterprise based common Observability Platform leveraged by a global Engineering, Product and Cloud organization

    -Help drive change across the company, working towards a common methodology based around Site Reliability Engineering and Solid System Engineering practices

    -Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them

    -Collaborate closely with engineering professionals within the organization to streamline delivery to the cloud

    -Help eliminate all manual intervention associated with delivery of value with a focus on velocity

    -Provide programmatic building blocks to enable product engineering teams to solution business value at a rapid pace

    -Mentor and train engineers throughout the organization and seek to continually improve cloud delivery practices companywide

    -Coach the organization on SREs principles: automation, visibility improvements, toil reduction, self-healing, and root cause analysis

    -Understand Business priorities and identify technical initiatives that help achieve desired outcomes

    -Be a strong advocate of the Continuous Delivery culture

    Qualifications
    -Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field

    -15+ years of development/engineering experience

    -Experience managing resources across a global team

    -Demonstrated ability to influence and execute in a dynamic, matrixed environment

    -Strong communication skills and ability to explain protocol and processes at various levels of organization

    -Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications

    -Strong experience delivering and managing solutions in a public cloud environment

    -Experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Windows-based infrastructure, and Google Cloud Platform

    -Strong experience with databases such asMS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch

    -Knowledge of development languages such asJava, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, Bash

    -Professional experience with Automation frameworks and deployment orchestration capabilities

    -Professional experience with Observability platforms such as New Relic, DataDog, Dynatrace

    -Experience with Agile Delivery, Scrum/Kanban/SAFe, etc.
