    Description:
    The Lead Accountant will work directly with the Director, Accounting and play a vital role to ensure the completion of team tasks and responsibilities in the Corporate Accounting function. This position will also work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial data is accurately recorded, reported, and analyzed in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The Principal Accountant will also be responsible for leadership and support of members of the Corporate Accounting team.
    Responsibilities:
    • Participate in monthly and quarterly balance sheet variance analyses, investigating and explaining significant variances, utilizing accounting systems resources and respective finance team members.
    • Initiate and participate in other routine and non-routine functions as requested by management, including ad-hoc requests, process improvements, and ongoing projects to support to financial initiatives.
    • Execute processes and procedures to comply with monthly financial statement close deadlines, including reviewing and preparing periodic journal entries and reconciliations, as needed.
    • Must demonstrate capability of leadership and influence without authority, including providing guidance and leading accounting discussions on a regular basis.
    • Interact and communicate with other departments and cross-functional teams to resolve financial-related issues.
    • Create, update, and/or review supporting schedules as needed for the preparation of financial reporting deliverables.
    • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
    • Licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
    • 5+ years in corporate accounting
    • Public accounting experience strongly preferred
    • Industry experience at complex and multi-national publicly-traded companies preferred
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GAAP
    • Hands-on experience with SOX compliance
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
    • Highly motivated, work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a dynamic work environment

    The pay range for this position is $88,700 to $115,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
