-tune VM configurations to get the best performance/resource consumption
• Detection of VMware issues, monitoring, and ownership of standards and requirements.
• Participate in capacity planning for the infrastructure.
• Manage Infrastructure and troubleshoot VM-related issues hosted on GCP.
• Provide tools and procedures for resource provisioning.
• Propose VM provisioning solutions to be analyzed and/or implemented.
• Document existing and new infrastructure deployments using Run Book and architecture diagrams.
• Implement processes to standardize IT practices and procedures, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Corporate IT, Technical Operations, and DBA teams to assess future growth and capacity requirements.
• Participate in 24x7 system support rotation and handle escalations.
• Proactively research new and/or updated technologies as they become available that pertain to our environment.
• Able to see gaps and areas of improvement in the process as well as technologies, providing recommendations, and taking the initiative to fix issues are qualities we love to see in our teams
• Must have at least 8 years of hands-on experience managing large Virtual Infrastructure with multiple VMWare ESX clusters.
• Experience with vSphere 6.7/7.0 is mandatory.
• Should have good knowledge of Python, PowerShell, vROPs, and Zerto.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux in Virtual Setup.
• Experience utilizing automation tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling similar to Jenkins/ Rightscale.
• Thorough knowledge of 3Par with emphasis on performance and reliability is a plus.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes would be an advantage.
• 4-year technical degree or equivalent.
• Experience working with offshore delivery companies and distributed teams
• VMWare and GCP certification are a plus.
• Proven track record delivering high-quality and consistent systems and environments
• Ability to multi-task; working on multiple project teams and wearing multiple hats is very common at UKG
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Passionate about technology and its use to power business success
• Leader with intellectual curiosity and an ability to self-manage
