    About The Role
    The Senior Counsel, Strategic Alliances, will support the development of UKG's emerging channel and partner programs, as well as the drafting and negotiation of strategic alliance agreements, including white label, reseller, sublicense, referral, and teaming agreements. You should have experience supporting efficient go-to-market processes and templates for use across global verticals and business segments, especially in helping a dynamic business team in penetrating small and medium business and public/federal segments. The ideal candidate will also be highly collaborative and skilled at building strong relationships with UKG executives and senior management, as well as with leaders on the partner and customer teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with channel, alliances, and other sales leaders within UKG to support strategic growth initiatives.

    • Design and implement legal processes for new go-to-market channel models and innovative strategic alliances

    • Lead negotiations with partners and customers, on reseller related agreements, including assignments, amendments, orders, and other transactions

    • Provide proactive strategic advice, counsel and guidance to internal channel, alliance, and sales teams regarding business and legal issues and risks

    • Assist in implementing legal efficiencies to support the global partner organization

    • Help build and improve contract templates and negotiation playbooks and provide internal training to global channel, alliance, and sales teams

    • Partner effectively with sales operations, finance, privacy, security, and legal contract support

    • Support the global channel buildout to enhance our partner ecosystem and drive revenue growth

    About You

    Basic Qualifications:

    • J.D. Degree and membership in at least one state bar in good standing

    • At least 8 years of related law firm and/or in-house legal experience supporting channel, reseller, and strategic alliances

    • At least 5 years of experience supporting SaaS, cloud services, and enterprise software transactions

    • At least 3 years addressing complex global data privacy laws and principles

    • Outstanding contract negotiation and drafting skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex transactions in fast paced environment

    • Highly refined written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively and clearly communicate with all levels of the organization

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • CIPP Certification in privacy and/or artificial intelligence

    • Experience supporting public sector reseller and related transactions

    • Experience supporting the creation and deployment of an enterprise channel practice

    • Highly flexible and the ability to pivot when business priorities change

    • Ability to negotiate in multiple languages is a plus

    • High level of integrity with Intense customer focus

    • Collaborative with a sense of humor

    The pay range for this position is $142,100 to $204,200 USD, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
