Position summary

Responsibilities

Build and maintain Java-based microservices/APIs (design, implementation, testing, deployment, support).

Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS/Azure (scalable, secure, observable, cost-aware).

Integrate AI capabilities (LLM-powered workflows, RAG, evaluation/guardrails) to enhance product outcomes.

Improve quality through code reviews, automated tests, and CI/CD.

Drive operational excellence: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and root-cause fixes.

Partner with Product/UX/QA/Architecture to deliver incremental value in Agile teams.

Required Qualifications

3-6 years software engineering experience with strong Core Java (Java 11+ preferred).

Experience with Spring/Spring Boot and building RESTful services.

Strong fundamentals: data structures, OOP, design patterns, debugging, performance tuning basics.

Working knowledge of SQL (and schema/design); NoSQL exposure is a plus.

Familiarity with cloud services (AWS or Azure), IAM/security basics, and CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with automated testing (JUnit, integration tests) and Git-based workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS).

Messaging/eventing: Kafka, SQS/SNS, Event Hubs.

Observability: metrics/logs/tracing (e.g., OpenTelemetry) and SLI/SLO thinking.

AI/LLM integration experience: Azure OpenAI/OpenAI/Bedrock, vector databases, prompt/versioning, evaluation frameworks.

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform/CloudFormation/Bicep.
