The Learning Experience Designer III supports the UKG Learning and Community team strategy and delivers high-quality educational solutions in a blended learning model. We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer to help our customers learn and master our HCM and/or Workforce Management products. The Learning Experience Designer is a member of the UKG Learning, Community & Adoption Team and is responsible for the design and development of standardized education solutions for multiple UKG products in a variety of vertical industries.
Principal Responsibilities:
Using UKG design processes, templates, procedures, and tools, rapidly design and develop engaging and impactful learning activities and compelling course content, including but not limited to job aids, e-Learning, and instructor-led course materials
Work with subject matter experts to identify the target audience's training needs and product capabilities
Work with Learning Leads and your manager to ensure projects are completed on time and according to design, development, and quality standards
Conduct internal reviews and testing to evaluate courseware during the design and development phases
Stay current in training trends and recommend other training media, methods, and approaches to implement new ideas in a cost-effective manner
Attend product training sessions and work with UKG products to become a product expert
Solves moderately complex issues
Acts as a resource and may provide guidance/training for other team members
May lead team projects with limited risks and resource requirements
Assists in establishing/maintaining team processes and procedures
Required Skills and Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred. Formal education in Adult Education or Instructional Design preferred. Minimum three years' experience designing and developing learning assets for software applications. Experience creating learning in HCM or absence is preferred
In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models. Experience working in an Agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environments preferred
Strong proficiency with industry standard design software, such as Camtasia and Articulate 360 applications
Proven ability to develop software training that incorporates adult learning theories, visual learning design, and interactive training techniques. Experience with learning development in multiple modalities including instructor-led training (synchronous and asynchronous) and eLearning (including for mobile devices). Samples required
Proven ability to work in teams and independently, manage multiple projects, juggle multiple changing priorities, demonstrate high attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines
Strong oral/written communication and editing skills, ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas for the appropriate audiences. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, juggle multiple changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
Other preferred skills:
Experience using Heretto or other DITA authoring tools.
