Role Overview
We are looking for a thoughtful, detail-oriented, and collaborative Senior UX Designer to design intuitive and consistent user experiences for UKG's enterprise software. You'll work alongside product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to craft workflows that are responsive, accessible, and impactful.
As a Senior Designer, you will contribute to the entire product lifecycle - from research and conceptual design to polished implementation. You are expected to be hands-on, self-directed, and curious, with a strong sense of UX craft and a desire to grow within a global design organization.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Product Design
• Translate user needs and product requirements into clear, elegant design solutions for web and mobile.
• Create flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma.
• Design with attention to accessibility, localization, and responsive behavior.
Collaboration & Execution
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and QA to ensure smooth implementation of designs.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, design planning, and feature reviews.
• Receive and incorporate feedback from UX leads, peers, and stakeholders with an open mindset.
Design Systems & Patterns
• Utilize UKG's Ignite Design System to maintain consistency and scalability across the product suite.
• Propose new components or enhancements in collaboration with the Design Systems team.
User-Centered Process
• Support UX Researchers and Product Analysts in gathering user insights to inform design decisions.
• Participate in usability testing and translate findings into design iterations.
• Contribute to personas, journey maps, or user flows when applicable.
Team Contribution & Learning
• Engage in team critiques, brainstorming sessions, and cross-team UX reviews.
• Document design rationale and maintain clear handoffs for development.
• Share best practices and stay current on UX trends, accessibility guidelines, and tools.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in UX/Product Design, preferably in SaaS or enterprise environments.
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design solutions, interaction patterns, and visual craft.
• Solid understanding of design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design.
• Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools like FigJam, InVision, or Adobe XD.
• Familiarity with agile product development processes and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Design, Psychology, or a related field.
Preferred Skills
• Experience contributing to or working with a large-scale design system.
• Exposure to AI-powered interfaces or workflow-driven enterprise applications.
• Comfort working in global, distributed teams and matrixed organizations.
