This person is responsible for ensuring Material availability, On time delivery, E Promise, Cross functions working, Inventory control, Team handling, Weekly metrics, Supplier relationship management, Commercial issues closure, NCMR/OVP closer, Supplier performance improvement, ECN / NPI management, NCMR dispositions, B2P management, with Strong analytical skills. He shall be responsible for

Fulfillment Responsibility

  • Supplier fulfilment team is responsible for ensuring that the specified materials is delivered at Factory / Supplier (as applicable) at the right time.

Operational issues

  • Responsible for Material Availability as per Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and procure material as per the Need date in collaboration with Sourcing & Supplier Quality. Continuous Engagement with Suppliers to monitor OTD and drive improvement actions with Suppliers to improve overall quality.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for OTR (Order to Remittance) issues relating to total order processing.

  • Understand all customer special requirements and communicate to those responsible for accurate and complete fulfillment.

  • Work with Materials Team to manage the inventory and work towards improving the inventory turns

  • Act as escalation for any responsibility (Defined below) for a fulfillment responsible team member

  • Take initiatives & propose Vendor Development, cost reductions, Lead-time reduction, Lean etc.

  • Implements continuous improvement processes including supplier quality and on-time delivery measurement, upholds and participates in the company quality and EHS programs, and performs other duties as assigned

  • Attending all daily shop/ material review meetings and manage exigencies in line with shop requirements

  • Assign & Co-ordinate the work to fulfillment team for smooth and efficient operation. Keeping equilibrium by distribution of work and responsibilities amongst team

  • Optimal utilization of resources to meet target completion date of equipment & commodities critically required at Factory.

  • Improve cross functional coordination to ensure all functions are aligned to get the material delivered at the right time and right quality

Supplier Management

  • Supplier relationship management.

  • Ensuring timely delivery of material with right quality as per Contractual arrangement

  • Ensuring that progress reports are received from the suppliers in the correct form at the correct time.

  • Responsible for meeting all KPIs related to Fulfillment function.

  • Actively participating in kick off meeting to define the coordination procedure between supplier and Wabtec.

  • Ascertaining supplier related material delays and ensure risk mitigation plan is in place to avoid line stoppage.

  • Work on dedicated OTD focus program and performs analysis on top/worst suppliers. Works with the suppliers to overcome delays with a concurred mitigation/corrective action plan

Cross functional coordination

  • Managing entire order fulfillment cycle and will work in tandem with Engineering, Shop, MMI, Process specialists, Quality (Shop + Supplier), Purchase & Logistics teams for timely supplies.

  • Close coordination with other functions to manage timely inspections, NCR resolution and transportation etc.

  • Engaging right people (PQ/Process specialists etc) for first product development in coordination with Sourcing & SQE.

  • Establishing close collaboration with Wabtec Network factories for management of exigencies and offshore suppliers.

  • Attending all daily shop/ material review meetings and manage exigencies in line with shop requirements.

Reporting & material visibility

  • Providing 100% material visibility and tracking across the organization.

  • Managing material movement between different suppliers and factory and keep track of all free issue material.

  • Along with delivering on the business goals, role includes incorporating best fulfillment practices and tools (MTA/ PMX Scheduling/ MRP planning etc.) used in other factory locations and work with Marhowra broader team for roll out of those practices/tools.

  • Lead /participate in supplier performance improvement/ rating programs.

Performance Measurement

Fulfillment Leader will be measured on:

  • On-time delivery of material at the Factory, Material Availability, Premium Transportation expense, Early receipt, E Promise, Inventory, PR-PO conversion time, NCMR execution, Trouble Ticket resolution and all other weekly KPIs

  • Successful closure of identified mitigation actions

  • Accuracy and timeliness of reporting

  • Adherence to the global processes and IT Tools for expediting, Communication skills and vendor relations

  • No Air freight.

  • Commercial issues closure.

  • Cross functional working with SQE/Sourcing/Logistics/Warehouse/Quality/Planning/Production/ME.

  • Communication skill / Action plan / mitigation plan.

Organizational Reporting

Hierarchical reporting to Fulfillment Manager

Education & Working Experience

  • B.E./B.Tech from any reputed institute. Masters in Materials Mgmt. will be preferred. Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience.

Required Essential Skills

  • Candidate should have good amount of team handling experience (min 6 years of team handling).

  • Basic commercial awareness

  • Basic knowledge on planning and scheduling associated with the production.

  • Pro-active, Problem solving attitude Networking and communication skills.

  • Organizational skills including prioritization and resource deployment.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

  • Prior experience in production control or planning, supervision, sourcing and/or material control environment

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities

  • Ability to work effectively in all environments

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Six Sigma training

Language Skills

  • Proficient in English language

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with diverse team members

  • Should demonstrate Leadership skills & Mentoring to teams in reporting when required

  • Confident and ability to articulate his thoughts

Base Location

  • Based on requirement, person should be willing to travel 7-10 days in month.
