Main Responsibilities
Makes mechanical repairs or adjustments to many different types of equipment throughout GW facilities
Participates in construction projects
Makes repairs to facility infrastructure (i.e. plumbing, process piping, structural members, HVAC equipment, and some process equipment)
Performs welding and fabrication for various production and non-production projects.
Keeps work area clean and in order
Follows all company safety procedures and guidelines.
Other tasks as assigned by manager/supervisor
Willing to work in hot, dusty environment (foundry)
Willing to work a shift starting at 4am.
Some outdoor work required in hot or cold conditions
Valid VA driver's license is required
Education/Training
High School or GED preferred
Prior industrial maintenance experience preferred
Qualifications/Experience
Tear down, troubleshoot and repair various mechanical assemblies
Construction skills including: Carpentry and Plumbing
Ability to perform general welding (GMAW, SMAW) and fabrication
Fundamental machining skills desirable
Proven math skills, reading skills, and computer skills. Ability to receive and execute written or verbal instructions
Experience using a variety of hand and power tools for maintenance purposes.
Understanding of general industrial safety principles
Expected to supply own basic hand tools
