Position summary

Where is the position located?* This is a full-time role based in Wetherill Park, NSW. This role works 5 days in the office.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Work with the site Leadership team to build and implement workforce solutions in line with business strategy and legislation;

  • Ensure the delivery of recommendations and solutions covering multiple areas of site administration including workforce planning and staffing;

  • Act as the first point of contact for all employee queries on payroll, time and attendance, hiring factory staff, implementation support for HR policies, EBA, payroll and other related enquiries;

  • Escalate people related grievances and issues to HR Manager and support in implementation of appropriate measures.

  • Providing an appropriate level of advice and support to management regarding all site related people matters;

  • Facilitate Induction and onboarding process for new employees on site Active member of the production teams including participation in weekly site production meetings.

  • Manage the relationship with Labour supply agencies including contingent worker inductions and agency invoicing.

  • Collecting and managing employee time capture information for payroll and supporting processes.

  • Check, record and store Overtime authorizations and balance all payments against clock records.

  • Be the employee's point of contact for all HR and payroll enquiries.

  • Working with Finance to put together monthly payroll totals as well as distribution of hours across works orders for overhead recovery and efficiency calculations.

  • Collate and provide monthly headcount reports to Finance.

  • Commitment to Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements;

  • General office duties; and

  • Any other duties directed by your manager

What do we want to know about you?

  • Recognised qualifications in a relevant discipline (eg Human Resources);

  • Understanding of Australian employment law and other government legislation;

  • Ability to communicate, consult and negotiate with staff at all levels, and with external agencies, service providers and customers;

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy and to exercise tact and discretion;

  • Ability to interpret and advise on awards, legislation and regulations;

  • Problem solving and root-cause identification skills Intermediate level computing skills including Microsoft office suite;

  • Knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday preferred);

  • and Experience in Manufacturing/construction industry (preferred).
