  • Maintains ongoing communication with related departmental personnel to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials / services

  • Maintains computerized procurement records in Oracle, such as items or services purchased, cost, lead time, supplier commitment dates, accounting term, delivery arrangements, comments, etc.

  • Execute material planning activities for specified purchased components and materials, managing optimal material inventory levels, and reducing material shortages.

  • Follow-up with supply base to ensure on time deliveries using the forecasted deliveries report.

  • Place PO's with the required 2-week time frame.

  • Work with Finance and Supplier for invoicing issues.

  • Work with receiving and supplier for receiving discrepancies.

  • Coordinate the return of the NCM's for the appropriate actions required.

  • Follow up with related departments to ensure acceptable material is received and vendors are paid within terms of purchase order.

  • Handles invoice referrals.

  • Expedites delivery of goods to users.

  • Other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION

EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree In Supply Chain (APICS) or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years working in logistics

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferable in the transportation industry

OTHER REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel.

  • Proficiency in MRP systems (Oracle) or similar applications
