Who will you be working with?

As part of a small but highly experienced Engineering team, you will provide efficient, and high-quality administrative support to all the product lines within Wabtec UK Engineering. Previous experience in a similar technical administration role would be desirable, ideally in an engineering environment, be computer literate, proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and ideally have an understanding of PLM Systems and data reporting however full training will be given so this is an exciting opportunity if you are analytical, and data driven.

Salary: £Competitive

Location: Derby

Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30pm and Friday 08:00am to 13:00pm, 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

How will you make a difference?

The role will support various areas of the business including office administration, liaising with product leads, senior management, and external agencies, and administration of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) System. Utilising, a variety of systems/tools that are available you will aid the Wabtec UK engineering team in the management of tasks, approvals, and project forecasting and data reporting.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Produce weekly reports, monthly reports, and key performance indicators as required.

  • Provide technical support and training for different business units on for the PLM system and resolve any queries (training will be provided).

  • Month-end reporting on engineering services.

  • Regular audits of documentation and systems.

  • General administration e.g., processing of paperwork, team diary management, room bookings, purchase order request, and travel request processing, etc.

  • Although the work base is the Derby office, some travel to other Wabtec UK sites may be required.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Great attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Experience of Microsoft packages

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Experience in Report writing (Word).
