    We are looking for a talented Senior Java Engineer with experience building CDC tools to join our growing Data Integration team. In this role, you will be collaborating with Product Management, CCE and Infrastructure teams to deliver Data Integration features.

    Ongoing projects:

    • Data pipelines (ETL/ELT use cases)
    • CDC triggers (database change tracking)
    • Data orchestration
    • Data Insights (analytics and anomaly detection).

    Responsibilities

    • Design and implement ELT, data ingestion and orchestration components
    • Optimize CDC processes for high availability, scalability, and low latency
    • Work with DBA and Infrastructure teams to improve backend reliability and troubleshoot production issues, including failures, bottlenecks, and inconsistencies in data change tracking
    • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS
    • Perform code and architecture reviews
    • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
    • Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-team communication
    • Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
    • Establish long-term strategy for feature and performance testing
    • Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.

    Requirements

    Technical Skills

    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
    • 10+ years of industry experience
    • Strong knowledge of RDBMs internals, including data types, storage, transactions, replication, etc.
    • Experience in building, deploying and troubleshooting production-grade replication/change data capture (CDC) tools (Debezium, HVR, Fivetran Teleport Sync, Oracle GoldenGate and others)
    • Proficiency with Core Java
    • Broad experience with large-scale Relational Databases, SQL and JDBC (one of Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.); proficiency in SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing
    • Ability to analyze database capabilities and identify optimal CDC strategies
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for handling data inconsistencies, failures, and replication lags.

    Optional Requirements

    • Experience of working with Docker and other isolation technologies
    • Understanding of data encryption, security, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
    • Experience with real-time data streaming using Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, or Spark
    • Experience of working with Kubernetes and public cloud infrastructure providers (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud/Heroku)
    • Experience with automated performance testing is a plus.
