Instrumenting and supervising instrumentation of test articles.
Designing test plans to validate calibrations for release.
Assisting in the design and maintenance of testing facility systems
Creating and refine facility control algorithms via PLC programming.
Mentoring junior engineers and technicians to develop team's Data Acquisition (DAQ) and calibration skills.
What you need to be successful:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
3-5 years of experience calibrating Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) for mass production required.
Mastery of compromises between performance, reliability and emissions compliance.
Ability to interpret software logic from block diagrams.
Mastery of CAN communication tools.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to a broad audience of technical and non-
technical people.
Ability to instrument prototype engines for calibration work (i.e. lambda, MAP, O2, temp sensors).
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
Calibration experience using MicroAutoBox.
PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred).
