Perform annual dealer credit reviews and ongoing monitoring of portfolio performance.
Complete special reviews associated with permanent increases, temporary increases, overlines, product additions, financial triggers, and high-risk account monitoring.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Yamaha Motor Corporation's industries and dealer network to help evaluate risk and identify appropriate solutions that balance risk and return.
Review significant changes within assigned dealer portfolios (e.g. Buyouts, ownership restructuring, additional collateral) and determine appropriate security and documentation requirements.
Utilize assigned credit authority to monitor a significant portion of the portfolio on an autonomous basis.
Prepare credit memoranda and deliver presentations to management and external clients.
Support process improvements, reporting tools and internal compliance initiatives.
Provide guidance, post review work, or mentor junior analysts within the organization.
Other projects, assignments, or functions in support of portfolio risk management and business growth.
What you'll need to be successful:
3 + years of commercial lending or underwriting/financial analysis experience or equivalent experience
Strong analytical skills
Cross-functional team environment skill set and ability to work independently
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Strong communication & presentation skills
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.
Experience working in an organization with detailed Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and regulatory compliance policies and procedures.
Experience with development and/or maintenance of tracking tools including process workflow or compliance with internally set guidelines.
Experience drafting and/or maintaining policies and/or procedures within a regulated commercial lending institution.
Experience working with internal and external auditors within a regulated commercial lending institution.
Understanding of UCC filings, collateral perfection, and commercial lending documentation.
Prior experience in commercial inventory finance or leasing businesses a plus.
