    Position summary

    ursue prospective leads, build relationships with all dealers, and obtain additional monthly business in assigned territory by visiting new and existing customers

    • Accurately forecast and develop strategies on future outboard product needs for Dealer Accounts based off of data collected from Yamaha Dealers, market trends, and quantifiable from past year's sales

    • Responsible for developing targets and goals, must be proficient in the use of the Mapper program, and knowledgeable about products to help dealer increase market share

    • Achieve corporate and territory goals and objectives while working within set budget parameters; plans expenses independently within set guidelines

    • Conduct basic sales training for dealer, including owner, sales personnel and other staff as necessary; may lead Yamaha's Sales and Service Seminars

    • Develop and build relationships with the following strategic partners: Yamaha Boat Company and other approved boat company partners. Recommend boat lines that will assist the dealer and Yamaha in continued market share growth

    • Maintain accurate dealer information records and files as required by the Regional Manager and Corporate Policy Guidelines

    • Complete administrative duties as required in an acceptable time frame established by the Regional Manager

    • Maintain tracking information for all Dealer sales programs, specific to territory and communicate market conditions to sales management; includes collecting customer feedback and information on competitor activity

    • Assist with monitoring and disposition of all damaged outboard inventories in the Unit Warehouses

    • Provide direction for promotional and marketing opportunities to the dealer network by assessing customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services

    What you need to be successful:

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent certification is required

    • At least 3 to 5 years of previous sales experience at a minimum; experience managing a sales territory or sales team is a plus

    • Must be able to travel to various accounts, industry events, and dealer functions

    • Required to be computer literate, including experience with MS Excel, MS Word and sales software
