EHS Division and facilitator of MIC EHS standard operating procedures.
Maintain tracking and execution of required and recommended safety related training for all MIC employees and support compliance for audits and inspections directed by EHS team.
Training facilitator for topics including, but not limited to: Forklifts, hoists & cranes, commercial motor vehicle usage & protocols, first aid/CPR/OSHA maritime/water safety, battery and alternate fuel usage, boating operation safety, facility emergency procedures, etc.
Responsible for supporting job hazard identification and safety analysis as prescribed by EHS team. Creation of specific work instructions for specialized MIC machinery and equipment, establish and maintain lock-out/tag-out procedures, etc.
Support organization and facilitation of annual Yamaha Safety Day event and leader of MIC emergency response team (fire, severe weather, etc).
Assist facilitation and training of 6S (5S +Safety) practices throughout the MIC, particularly the workshop areas.
Manage MIC equipment and tool inspection, preventative maintenance and calibration as needed.
What you need to be successful:
BA / BS degree and/or 4+ years' previous experience in a similar position preferred
OSHA Maritime Safety, Water/CPR training preferred
Strong proficiency in MS Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to travel. Estimated travel is 10%.
