RD Specialist

EHS Division and facilitator of MIC EHS standard operating procedures.

• Maintain tracking and execution of required and recommended safety related training for all MIC employees and support compliance for audits and inspections directed by EHS team.

• Training facilitator for topics including, but not limited to: Forklifts, hoists & cranes, commercial motor vehicle usage & protocols, first aid/CPR/OSHA maritime/water safety, battery and alternate fuel usage, boating operation safety, facility emergency procedures, etc.

• Responsible for supporting job hazard identification and safety analysis as prescribed by EHS team. Creation of specific work instructions for specialized MIC machinery and equipment, establish and maintain lock-out/tag-out procedures, etc.

• Support organization and facilitation of annual Yamaha Safety Day event and leader of MIC emergency response team (fire, severe weather, etc).

• Assist facilitation and training of 6S (5S +Safety) practices throughout the MIC, particularly the workshop areas.

• Manage MIC equipment and tool inspection, preventative maintenance and calibration as needed.

What you need to be successful:

• BA / BS degree and/or 4+ years' previous experience in a similar position preferred

• OSHA Maritime Safety, Water/CPR training preferred

• Strong proficiency in MS Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

• Ability to travel. Estimated travel is 10%.
