    What you'll be doing:

    • Lead and drive the development of new features, content, and products within the Production Software & Systems team, focusing on software and electrical engineering for Electronic Control Units (ECUs), Multi-Function Displays (MFDs), and other marine applications, while ensuring adherence to industry standards.

    • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments, design and implement focusing on safety measures of the software defined products in the marine applications, create detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.

    • Coordinate international collaboration efforts, working closely with global teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.

    • Support business operations by contributing to strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

    • Manage export/import control processes, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

    • Guide external resources and teams in delivering features, content, and products

    • Take ownership of the development of the assigned product(s) as project/technical lead throughout the entire development process from ideation to testing.

    • Mentor junior engineers with the technology expertise and business acumen, emphasizing safety practices across the different levels of products in use

    • Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices.

    • Ensure compliance with global operational rules and regulations.

    What you need to be successful:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.

    • 15+ years of experience in industrial engineering

    • 5+ years of experience in perception technology, design and implementation of embedded software systems, and/or electrical engineering, with a preference for marine or mobility industry experience.

    • Strong business acumen and ability to formulate business cases.

    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills.

    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities, especially for international collaboration, e.g. Japan, Europe

    • Strong attention to detail and independence.

    • Strong leadership and team and technology management skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in Engineering or related field.

    • Experience with functional safety or cybersecurity standards.

    • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety compliance in marine industry
