    Position summary

    culations and tax account reconciliations prepared by regional external and internal tax preparers, identify and conduct research around complex tax issues and projects, as required, and manage staff work assignments ahead of important deadlines. They will work independently and, on an as needed basis, with the SVP Accounting & Finance and the of Tax to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of tax filings for US consolidated tax reporting. This role will also have the opportunity to travel to various locations including Sao Paulo, Sydney and Paris and work directly with the various teams.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Review Federal and State tax returns and extensions for YMFC and its domestic subsidiary.

    • Review quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations for all YMFC foreign subsidiaries, as prepared by regional external & internal tax advisors.

    • Communicate with taxing authorities, external auditors, internal Tax and finance department contacts, and senior personnel throughout the organization in support of ongoing tax processes and procedures.

    • Prepare estimated Federal and State payment calculations for YMFC and its U.S. domestic subsidiary.

    • Ensure all non-US tax filings related to foreign operations are complete, accurate and filed timely.

    • Responsible for reviews of legislative developments and the impact on YMFC's tax planning, filing and provision.

    • Provide strong leadership in recruiting, training, and developing high-performing financial talent to ensure a productive finance organization. Oversee, mentor, and develop tax staff by clarifying roles, implementing training programs, and driving individual and organizational growth. Foster teamwork, boost morale, and promote a positive, supportive work environment.

    What you'll need to be successful:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. Master's degree in Taxation preferred.

    • CPA license required.

    • 10+ years in a combination of private industry and public accounting corporate income tax department, including supervision and management of direct reports (including career development technical training, and coaching.

    • 5+ years in an International Corporate Tax and/or accounting firm advising global business experience, financial services experience is a plus.

    • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) required. Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.

    Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

    • Able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

    • Able to work independently within a team setting and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Excellent organizational/analytical skills required

    • Understanding of IFRS Income Tax Accounting (IAS 12)

    Pay:

    $115,600 to $216,170

    Yamaha intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related experience. Base pay is part of Yamaha's Total Reward program, our Talent Acquisition Team will share more details as candidates progress.
