Manager, Simulation C++ Platform

eams across the Zoox ecosystem, innovate and implement new features to rigorously test and validate our autonomy software in sophisticated closed-loop simulation environments.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and inspire a team of 5+ world-class software engineers

• Drive cross-functional collaboration with autonomy, QA, and validation teams to deliver mission-critical features

• Architect and oversee the implementation of next-generation simulation capabilities

• Cultivate a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven track record in developing top talent and building high-performing engineering teams

• Demonstrated ability to drive complex projects from conception to delivery, with experience in creating and executing strategic roadmaps

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related technical field

• 3+ years of engineering management experience, preferably in a fast-paced, innovative environment

• Expert-level programming skills in C++, with proficiency in Python

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience in simulation, robotics, or autonomous systems is highly desirable

• Strong aptitude for understanding and solving complex technical challenges for specialized end-users, and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary will range from $210,000 to $300,000. A sign-on bonus may be part of a compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
