ts and errors related to hardware, software, and sensor data from both on-road testing and system simulation runs
Effectively categorize and prioritize issues based on severity, urgency, and potential impact on safety and performance by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (engineering, software, testing) and offshore teams.
Identify trends in system failures and propose preventative measures to improve overall system safety and robustness by producing clear and concise reports of system issues, troubleshooting steps, and root cause analysis
Be hands-on, lead by example, and develop tools and workflows to drive improvements for both quality and quantity aspects of the triage
Coach and mentor junior members of the team, and help them to grow in their career journey.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM-related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems troubleshooting and diagnostics, preferably in the automotive or embedded systems industry
Experience with Git, Agile methodologies, and scripting/programming languages (preferably Python)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to root cause analysis
A passion for autonomous vehicle technology and safety is essential
Bonus Qualifications
Experience in a Quality Assurance or Triage role for Autonomous Driving
Experience with Log Management, Analytics, or Simulation tools
Project Management experience on programs involving cross-functional partners and offshore teams
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $200,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
