1. SAP champions women and forges opportunities to promote more of them.

SAP is actively moving the needle on gender equality with initiatives in place to sustain those efforts. These include the Global Business Women's Network (BWN) that allows over 10,000 women to connect across 60 chapters to share skills, resources and best practices for career advancement. It also includes a monthly Women's Professional Growth webinar series and a Back-to-Work Program in Asia Pacific and Japan for women returning to work. 

In order to reach their 2022 goal of moving more women into leadership roles, the company is actively changing its hiring strategy, enhancing development opportunities, and ensuring that processes are fair and equitable for all.

In an anonymous employee review on FGB, one employee shared that there are “tremendous opportunities for women in management at SAP” while another added there are “several women in lead managerial roles.”

2. SAP embraces lifelong learning through career development opportunities.

Employees are encouraged to continue learning at SAP and are supported by self-paced learning opportunities, tailored talent support and SAP’s career success center, access to in-house certified coaches and a wide mentor network. They can receive career guidance, attend events and go on speed dates with recruiters.

According to a career development infographic on their site, employees can “create a balanced personal development plan with a 10-20-70 approach to career development, using tools and resources provided by SAP.” Ten percent of that program represents formal learning through training, courses, and seminars, 20 percent encompasses peer learning through networking, job shadowing and mentorship, and the final 70 percent is reserved for experiential learning.

One anonymous reviewer who works at the company says: “We have yoga and meditation classes, mindfulness workshops, employee led groups (Business Women's Network, Experts program, leadership development, and more). We routinely have invited guests providing insights, training, tools, and tips virtually and in person. Leadership workshops, global coaching, mentoring programs, and flexible work conditions.”

3. From maternity leave to FTO policy, their benefits are top-notch.
