Your Fairygodboss Posts Just Got More Interactive: How to Share Photos and Edit to Your Posts

Sharing on the Fairygodboss Feed just got better than ever. Thanks to our latest update, you’re able to watch videos, create posts with pictures and make edits to posts you’ve already created. We’ve also added an events calendar to help you keep track of the FGB opportunities you’d like to attend.

FGB’ers have always been able to upload video links. But thanks to your suggestions, you can now view videos without leaving Fairygodboss. If you see a video you want to watch, click on it to be taken to the post page. There, you'll be able to watch the video then share your thoughts with other FGB’ers. 

Post a photo.

Want to upload a photo of your latest interview outfit, meal prep victory or ingenious bullet journal page? The possibilities are endless with our new photo posts. 

To post a photo, click “share your thoughts” on our feed, then select the new “photo” icon. Select the category your photo fits under, upload your snapshot of choice, then describe it with a caption. Just like other posts on FGB, your photo can be shared anonymously — just press “select to share anonymously” in the lower right-hand corner of the window. Once your post is ready to go, you can click on the purple "Post now" button to push your post to the Fairygodboss feed.

Edit or delete a post or comment.

To edit a post or comment, locate it on the Fairygodboss Feed or on your My Public Contributions page. Then, click the pencil icon to access the edit view. Make your changes, click publish then sit back and relax. We promise no one caught that typo before you did. If your post is anonymous, you are not able to edit it. 

To delete a post or comment, locate it on the Fairygodboss Feed or, if it was written without using anonymity, on your My Public Contributions page. Then, click the trash can icon. A window will pop up asking you to confirm that you’d like to delete your post or comment. Click “yes” and the post is gone forever. Click “no” to go back. 

Access the events calendar.

You’ll see a summary of the upcoming  on the right hand side of your Fairygodboss feed. To see the full calendar, click the purple ‘See all events’ button. You can also access the events calendar at any time by clicking “me” in the upper right-hand corner of your screen, then clicking “events” in the drop down menu. Or, by clicking “see events” in the events calendar section on the Fairygodboss “Resources” page. 

Once you’re there, Register for any event with ease by clicking the ‘Register’ button. You’ll be sent reminders about the event via email. 

Another added bonus of this update? There are now time and date stamps on all FGB posts. When a post is edited, you’ll get a timestamp for the edits, too. Now you’ll know when something’s new, and have proof that FGB’ers are quick to help with a question. Plus, our new karma scores keep track of your contributions to the FGB community — the more you contribute, the higher your score. Happy posting!
