Question for the group! What kind of job emails do you like?
Hi everyone! I'm the junior product manager at Fairygodboss and am doing some research on what kind of job board emails folks enjoy!
If you feel comfortable sharing - could you respond to this post with answers to the following three questions?
1. What career/job board websites do you love?
2. Are you signed up for the emails of those websites? If yes - which ones?
3. What job related emails do you love? If you don’t love any - why don't you?
Thank you in advance!!
1. I'm not sure if I've found a great career/job board that I actually like. I tend to use Indeed & LinkedIn when I am applying for jobs (so pretty regularly right now); and both of those sites have pros & cons - LinkedIn a few more cons, in my opinion.
2. I do have my alerts on for LinkedIn for specific jobs; I use them to get a better sense of who's hiring, the qualifications they're looking for, and which sites I should check out to see similar jobs.
Easy apply is the best! Cover letters need to be replaced for sure.
I like Indeed, LinkedIn, Idealist.org, and Glassdoor (so I can see how people REALLY feel about the organization). I particularly like platforms that allow you to submit a quick application, as opposed to having to submit a cover letter and the whole works. I know cover letters will become a thing of the past in the near future — hoping sooner than later.
Indeed and LinkedIn with emails coming from Indeed. I like that I can follow a company and have them send me jobs from just that company. You can also add a location to those companies.
BOF and INDEED in terms of layout, etc...pretty user friendly.
Hi Sonya! Thanks for your reply! By BOF are you referring to Business of Fashion?
Hi, yes! I like Linkedin as well, easy to ready and to apply to.
Thanks Sonya!!
