It finally happened, the rejection that opened doors.
If you have been looking for work for some time, you know, the feeling of the dreaded email, the email with the clause 'unfortunately we won't be moving on to the next step.'
Your heart drops, and you start the process all over again. Wait, what if there is a name on the bottom of that dreaded rejection email? Do you reach out? You have nothing to lose.
I did just that, and there was a name on the bottom of the email, and I emailed the person asking to connect on LinkedIn, and then we set up a time to talk, and during that time, it led to, I think I may know of someone, that might be helpful. After a few emails back and forth after the call, an introduction, calls, and now I am looking at continuing to do what I love in Human Resources.
Not every email will lead to success; however, more than not, at least you will have a contact that may open other doors that you may have thought would never lead to other opportunities.
If you are looking for a new opportunity, currently, have faith; it is brutal out there, competition is fierce, though there are good people out there, and you never know unless you try.
Be kind to yourself throughout the process, best of luck with finding what you love, and stay safe.
What a brave way to look at the process! I received one with a name attached and I reached out asking for feedback and what I could do better to demonstrate my skills. I received a wonderful response which had some great advice as well as positive comments on my application.
Love that this happened to you! Full proof that no door is ever closed unless you just walk away from it. Every connection you make could be the one that leads you to your next opportunity!
This is great encouragement. Thanks for sharing!

This is awesome insight and such great advice, having grace with yourself in the job search is key. Being brave and reaching out is awesome because the worse that could happen? They never respond, and at least you tried... the best? This scenario! Great job, you should be so proud of yourself !!!
