I came to Canada 6 months ago and am actively looking for a job as a project coordinator in construction.
I have completed a project management course from Toronto Metropolitan University and am currently working to clear my CAPM certification exam, scheduled for April last week. I have a bachelor's degree in architecture .If anyone knows about any job openings as a project coordinator or estimator in the construction field, please let me know. I am in Toronto, Canada.
Dear Alida, Toronto is overstocked with overqualified people. I would try an area of Canada that is under serviced. For instance, you will find that the north is not serviced with your skill set. The provinces and territories have government job boards for their area - google: GNWT Careers or jobpostingalberta.ca. As an example, if you live in the provinces, there is no extra pay - just your salary. If you live in the territories, you get extra pay because you live in the north. This would help pay off any student loans or other expenses. Consider this.
