Hello everyone! I'm excited to be here with you all. I've been considering creating a blog for a while now, just wasn't sure what to focus on. I've always known I wanted to use a blog as a way to improve my writing skills because it's not something I excel at, but choosing something I'm passionate about was also important. I've decided I'm going to focus on music! Music is something that has had a huge impact on my life and I find the art itself to be beautiful. I will be doing deep dives on artists as well- their creative process, specific pieces of theirs that I love, and their cultural impact. I've actually been working on a personal project listening to every album that has won the Grammy for 'Album of the Year' from the first year the award show began. It's been beautiful expanding past artists I would typically listen to, but also being able to string together the impact older music has had on today's sound. The best part is it's completely unrelated to what I do for work so it's a hobby I won't feel burnt out by! I am excited to share it with anyone interested once it's up and running.
