Hi Everyone!!
I’m so glad to have found this gem on LinkedIn…I’m coming from an early intervention (special education) career where I coached caregivers for children 0-3years old with disabilities. It was a great experience, but I had to move, so now I’m looking to transition into HR.
Any recommendations on where should I start? (Books, courses, resume help, interviewing…etc). I want to be in diversity and inclusion in HR, HR coordinator, HR talent acquisition. Any recommendations on getting started, I’m all ears and eyes. Wishing everyone a successful job search and hiring process…
Do you have any sort of HR experience? What is driving you to want to work in HR? What does your education look like? If you are set on working in HR, then seeking out a career coach for entry level HR professional and see what of your background/experience can translate to a HR experience, get their guidance on your resume. Look at different certification options: SHRM, PHR, etc. See what's require. Look at different courses that SHRM, AIHR, etc. have to offer.
