Dress codes - outdated or necessary?
Has the pandemic made anyone else rethink how we approach dress codes? I've definitely relaxed my style much more, even for face-to-face calls. Surely there's a time and place for fancier work clothes, but I'm wondering what impact this pandemic will have on general day-to-day office wear and existing dress codes.
very outdated. i've been in and out of the office since march and we're still 'casual' in the office since there are so few of us. how does not wearing jeans make us any less able to exert authority or knowledge? as a leader i know i have to dress more professionally, but i can do that with a nice pair of jeans and save money on the dry cleaner. since i'm on zoom calls at home, i find i wear a nicer top and shorts/capris whatever on the bottom.
Outdated! Unless I have a meeting with my CEO, having to wear business formal clothes at work is totally unnecessary IMO
