Good evening, all,
I'm open to roles with Change Management and Organizational Development. I've been on a job search since October 2023. I haven't had many interviews since June 2023 and I'm not sure what the issue is. I've worked with professionals in my line of work, as well as career coaches. I've revamped my resume and LinkedIn page. I search for jobs on a few job boards to diversify my search.
How can I secure more interviews, and attract the attention of employers who will pay me my worth?
Hey, reading about the long job search and frustration really hit close, because that kind of uncertainty drains you fast. During a similar rough phase, I needed a mental break and randomly found https://big-bass.org.uk/ while browsing late at night. I went through a streak of losses at first, felt annoyed, then decided to push a bit harder on a slot and hit a win that honestly lifted my spirits. That reset helped me think clearer again, especially for players from the United Kingdom. I’d recommend it as a way to recharge when motivation dips.

OMG - Ditto!! Seriously I've also been looking since October, for Org Change Mngt related work, and crickets. In my opinion, now that Remote 100% has been replaced with Hybrid - Remote Local - aka, be in their office 1-2 days a week, eliminating the option to work for anyone anywhere. The big changes needing OCM during Covid are mostly done. I see some roles, very Senior, in Public Sector / Fed Govt primarily in FL, DC, CA - but not much else. I need help - ideas, suggestions, advice, etc. Yes, I'll take a pay-cut as some is better than none however some potential leads are $20-$25/hour on W2 and out of town, which I cannot afford.
The pay rates are crazy. I'm a Sr. Executive Assistant, and I get offered $20/hour. I can't afford my mortgage on that.
I'm glad I'm not alone.
It's been a journey, for sure, but I'm hopeful something great will come along. I've considered taking a pay cut as well, but it still has to be within my preferred salary range. I have multiple years of experience, education, and certificates to back it up.
I wouldn't mind hybrid work but for the right organization and role.
Where are you based?
