Hello everyone, I hope the holidays are treating you well.
I was apart of the population that was laid off this holiday season in Houston. I’ve only lived here two years so far and have found it extremely difficult to land positions that fit my experience and education. I am currently searching for healthcare operations positions in the Houston area. My background is in residential care as I ran home care and clinics for independent residents within affluent communities while in Oregon.
My last position was in Healthcare recruiting as an account manager for direct clients (no portals) and was remote which I am not a fan of this line of work but will do it with autonomy in my role. I’m a relationship builder along with community outreach which has been my way of exceeding sales expectations.
You have a very unique and niche past experience, are you highlighting that on your resume ?
Happy New Year!!
I am looking for an Executive Assistant position in the Phoenix, Arizona area. In office, hybrid, or remote. I love being in the office since I love people. I have applied to many positions but never get past the first interview. I have a great work ethic and stay on tract with many of my skills. Thank you!
Hello -- I'm in Houston and looked for a position for 5 mos before finding one. I have 10+ years of oil and gas, which is usually highly desired in the Houston market, but really struggled. I ended up in a position with a logistics company, not what i was initially open to.
Hang in there. It's so tough, we understand!
I found Houston Market for any industry difficult as well. You may have to look north past Conroe .
I live in Northeast Ohio, and there are lots of this kind of place springing up in affluent communities. People moving into those places have $$$ because of union employment.
