Menopause In The Workplace

Menopause is stigmatized and not discussed, and yet, many women in the workplace are “suffering in silence”.

Menopause In The Workplace

There is more conversation happening about menopause in the workplace - in the press, on TV.

I've been invited more recently to do workshops on it. I will be featured on "The Woolfer" this week, in fact. You can register for that here: https://www.thewoolfer.com/feeds/2342407 In the meantime, what do you think about discussing menopause in the workplace? Would you like to see trainings in the workplace so that managers would understand menopause and be responsive to a woman's experience? Should women be able to request flexibility in her schedule to address menopause related symptoms? Should there be resources available for women in the workplace - maybe access to a menopause specialist? Or, access to a menopause coach? How about access to a small battery or USB powered fan for your desk? I would love to hear your thoughts! Barbara

I believe resources should be available for women in the workplace at they own risk, not push on them. Some women may not have self awareness of this.
