flex work benefit
Flexible working
HP has provided flexible work arrangements for many years and continues to support employee needs through these programs. Included in HP’s flexible work arrangements portfolio of programs are: telework, flex work, part time and job share programs. These programs are utilized globally and have global policies in place to support their operations.

Telework allows our employees to perform their job responsibilities from their home.  This is leveraged by the majority of our employees for those occasions when flexibility in location is needed (to spend part of the day at school events, volunteering, personal or dependent’s doctor appointments, etc.).  We also have some positions in which employees are 100% home based.

Flex Work provides HP employees the opportunity to adjust their work day hours.  This can be an ongoing work schedule that supports timing needed to accommodate commuting, family responsibilities and/or global work responsibilities (working with other time zones).  Flex Work provides employees with flexibility in where and how they work.

HP's Part-time Policy allows employees to work a reduced work schedule on an on-going or temporary basis.

HP's Job Share Policy allows two employees to share the tasks and responsibilities of one full-time position. In this arrangement, each job-share partner is on part-time status and the employees share the responsibility for coordinating and accomplishing certain job responsibilities.  A noteworthy example in our current workforce is an executive level job share where two HP women directors hold the shared responsibility in this role, demonstrating that career progression is supported while utilizing HP’s flexible work arrangement programs.
