"The women in leadership roles in my large department are a variety--some aggressive and favorite-playing, some kind and openly helpful. Management is still male-dominated, probably because flying is a "man's world," especially at a large, legacy carrier like this one. Other departments seem to have strong women who are also kind, but I think they've had to play some untenable games to get there. The board, making the largest spending and strategy decisions, is primarily men."

I worked here for 4 years in reservations as well as customer service at the airport. Those positions are in the same Union. Maternity leave may be different for other unions. Other than lack of decent maternity benefits it is a unionized position and everyone is treated equally."
