"Your experience can be very dependent on your direct supervisor. Some women have a hard time getting time off approved. I am lucky I am not one of them. However we do not have paid maternity leave and there is a sense of "panic" that ensues (driven by a handful of individuals) when someone is preparing for maternity leave. It can be very stressful for the mother and the burden mostly falls on her to make provisions while she is gone. "

Would you recommend American Lung Association to other women?
"I have an inkling men are paid more and there is no paid maternity leave. However, women make up the majority of the staff and I have never been out-rightly discriminated against. "
