"Think long and hard. It’s an open floor plan, so if you want to hide your tampons from male coworkers during that time of the month, you have the joy of doing that. My coworkers who are going through menopause feel watched as well and have complained that they feel like if they put on the fan, everyone will know they are going through menopause due to the open floor plan, so they don’t. Women have told me they feel more insecure and aware of their appearances due to the fishbowl effect. If you’re having a baby and want to breastfeed there is currently no place for you to do so. They are turning a windowless supply closet that’s 5x5 into a nursing room. It just looks bad. It’s like they don’t care about women. Executive and C suite is really a good old boys club. No diversity, just to white males. Branch level manager seems to talk over women only. Subtle sexism exists. You can work remotely from home at certain levels. However, for almost all positions it’s limited to 2 or 3 days a week. If I have to leave early for my children, I’m told to put in PTO although I’m salary. I don’t feel like my boss is very flexible or understanding. Manager is new and has an unconscious bias, automatically assumes women have less experience and lack knowledge, however, he lacks technical skill."
