"The maternity leave (22 weeks fully paid is fantastic). It is a meritocracy so if you are not willing to constantly work overtime (unpaid), it's very hard to move up in salary. There are no cost of living raises."

"If you are able to face the challenges and bold enough to say loudly when someone treats you very badly or you face done issues, then you can survive. But your promotion will be stopped blaming that you are aggressive and immature. If you are not reacting and keeping everything to yourself and do whatever they demands, you can survive. Still there won’t be any promotion. If you are in corporate or sales roles, you will get better opportunities. "

"If you are in a more senior role, and have a manager that understands the need for flexibility, then as long as you get your work done, nobody cares when or where you do said work from. Lower level employees do not have as much flexibility. "

"It's an incredibly fast-paced culture where you can be promoted quickly and based on the results you deliver. The amount of ownership & autonomy is unprecedented compared to other firms where I've worked. The challenge arises when your personal life becomes more complex and conflicts with an ABI commitment. That is always the test and ABI doesn't always pass the test."

"There is no flexiblility with this company, the only options to a day off you were required to work is swap with a team member from another team. It was 2 weekends a month, shift change from am/pm to pm/am every 8 weeks. No sick days either"

"I believe that we are talking more about diversity, but are not acting on it. We are measuring it on competencies, etc. but we just announced new leadership changes and again - no women. "

"Flexibility isn't something we promote generally. While we can accomodate it locally, as soon as someone deems it to be "too much" or the results of a particular area suffer, you then become someone that isn't considered high potentially. Further, the expectations to move your family for promotional opportunities are concerning. In order to receive a promotion in Sales, you likely have to uproot your family to the "CSO" in NYC, which is not a family conducive environment. "

"While the maternity leave policy is great - immediately upon my return to the same position I was expected to travel more and be away from my family more than was ever required previously. It was noticeable that the expectations of me far exceeded my male peers in the same role while they got all the credit. Also allowed: continuous complaining from a male co-worker for all of the work he had to cover for me while I was on maternity leave. That went on for 18months after returning, in front of management and he was never reprimanded. While I enjoyed the time off with my new baby, it was definitely held against me when I returned. When I couldn’t meet these new crazy expectations with a breastfeeding newborn, I was given a poor appraisal. "

"It is hard for most women to advance to leadership positions as the culture rewards people who dedicate their lives to the job - staying long hours, changing personal plans for travel and willingness to move where the company needs you to. Maternity leave though was recently extended to 16 weeks which shows that the company is at least trying to move in the right direction."

"It is challenging because there is very little work-life-balance (even though policies allow it and management often claims to allow it); however, the company pays very well, so it is challenging to find a different position in my city that is comparable compensation."

"What has hurt my career the most is that I tend to stick to standard hours (i.e. 7am-4pm). Even though I get my work done, and often go above-and-beyond, I am still seen as under-performing by senior management who only sees when I leave (they are not in the office when I arrive)."

"The beer industry is traditionally a male powered field. But don't let that fool you, the women here kill it day in day out just as much as the guys do. One note of caution: if you don't have thick skin and a backbone, this company may not be good for you. It isn't a male v female thing... it's part of the company culture to be blunt, straight forward, results driven, and passionate about our opinnions/projects/etc."

"Not a great place to work if you want balance with your family. Not a place with a long runway for promotion as a woman. Portray stereotypical male traits to get ahead. Great opportunity to have hard work rewarded with accelerated promotions until they more or less stop at senior levels. "
