"President is a woman, normal to see lots of women in leadership, but still a corporate environment so expect more of the same. A lot of the insurance industry is aging out, so there are still many older men in high positions, but Aon doesn't seem to prioritize them. "

"This is a male dominated and mostly male-led company. The male leaders have been in their roles for significant periods of time whereas the small handful of female leaders or women in very strong and senior leadership roles, have come and gone and have not been replaced or the position has been eliminated in its entirety. "

"Many women hold senior positions. Gender does not seem to play a role in North America promotions. However, Indian promotions are very different. Female employees in India are much more likely to be held back from promotions simply due to their personalities or behavior seemingly against the female norms of Indian culture."
"It's a challenge for the administrative assistants to 'grow' in their roles. There is still a bit of the 'old school' thinking in terms of what an AA's role is. We are valued, however, just doesn't reflect in the pay."
"There are many women in leadership in my department, but few with children. The consulting lifestyle is a difficult one for a woman or man with primary childcare responsibilities, so there seems to be a solid gap of very few women from 30-40 years old. However, the company has a female CEO, which is encouraging!"

"The support framework for women is there and I have seen it strengthened in my five years there. I really appreciate the work they've done to improve the Aon Colleague Experience."
"I worked at Aon for two years. In that time, I noticed a few different things about my department and other departments. HR was a great place to be a woman - very flexible, working from home, women in more senior roles. However, in other parts of the organization I know that we are the outliers. Other groups were not flexible about working from home, maternity leaves, etc. A new mom told me she had to pump at work and her manager brought it up in her review that she "wasn't at her desk enough" to ensure she was being productive. Ludicrous! I think I would advise women to be very careful. It's not the best environment and I don't see a lot of powerful women willing to mentor there."
