"Too much turmoil, was promised a promotion repeatedly, then I'd get a new boss and be told I'd have to do a ton of extra work to "qualify" for the promotion potential repeatedly. I left in 2017 and wish I'd left sooner. "

"This company has wonderful benefits that are tough to beat. Depending on who your manager is makes the difference in where your career path takes you. However BB&T is run with a “good old boy” mentality, meaning a white male from eastern NC will always win the race to the top. "

"Please note: I worked for the Insurance unit, not the bank. Each agency is run fairly individually, so this is based on one agency in CA. Men get promoted much faster than women, in general, even though there are a lot more women than man in the agency."
