"The company seems to be making great strides towards diversity, equity, and belonging overall. In the short time I've been here, I've seen several women be hired into leadership roles, while most folks seem to be in line with our diversity pillars. As a new employee, moving to BNSF Logistics from a different company that was male-dominated, I think the company is welcoming to women and definitely a place where you can find your seat at the table."

"I would tell her to look elsewhere. They are making everyone come back into the office even though almost every single job at this company can be done remotely and over the phone. Our supervisors aren't even necessarily in the same office location. The middle and upper management are very fraternized (old boys club) and promotions seem to go to men way more often than women, given the amount of white male managers we have in operations versus every other demographic. Our COO, a woman, left the company or was forced out (not sure) and the CEO is stepping in to help run operations. For a company that says things like "we're a family" and "enjoy the journey" - it is a very dysfunctional family and the strict corporate structure they are trying to uphold in 2021 is draconian and archaic with an innovative surface. They have a problem with following through on every cultural improvement initiative that I have seen them try to enact. They recently went through a restructuring that has a commission structure that pits employees against each other instead of creating team goals to work towards. Instead of getting rid of the office silos that they wanted to so badly destroy, they have now created even more silos between individuals. The morale is very low. "

"The majority of people at BNSFL are friendly and want to help you improve your skills. Some groups tend to hire external candidates instead of promoting existing employees which can be very frustrating."
