"They have downgraded this rule recently. Anything beyond the unpaid FML time, you are allowed to take based on your service duration. So, if you are new and don't have anything accumulated yet, then you can be without income for 12 weeks or come back early (and eat the expensive infant care cost!) unless your spouse has a coverage or you have family/friends help. If you are a single parent without any help and on a position that does not pay enough to cover the infant care cost, you are really doomed."

"First, in my personal experience, if you plan to work at this place of employment until retirement, also plan on dealing with age discrimination, low pay increases and reviews that are good at praising but critical. I have worked here close to 20 years, stepping up to help deal with anything that comes up. "
