"When you work as a chat operator, you’re chatting with clients from fake profiles. After every message you send, you’re changing profiles and clients. So you alternate between texting as (for example) Linda with John, to Carrie with Peter, back to Linda and John, then Susan and Tim and Susan and Peter. The clients have no idea they’re not real women. It is unethical and a scam.
Moreover, management sends rude and angry emails frequently and refuses to respond to any of your emails. I resigned over a year ago and still receive emails from the company after repeatedly requesting to have my details removed.
Ever since I signed up with Cloudworkers, I have been receiving sex-related spam emails.
The pay is horrendous. I am a fast writer and I made about €7/hr."
